Yang Kun Attended the Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2021 (EFG 2021)

July 12, 2021, Guiyang /CEC/ - On July 12, the Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2021 (EFG 2021), with the concept of " Green and Low-Carbon Development. Fostering a Community of Life for Man and Nature", opened in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China. Li Zhanshu, Member of Standing Committee of Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee and Chairman of Standing Committee of National People's Congress made the Welcome Note at the Opening Plenary of EFG 2021. Dai Bingguo, Former State Councilor, attended the Forum as the VIP. 

As the only state-level international platform themed with eco-civilization, the EGF 2021 has been successfully held for 10 editions since 2009. EGF 2021 promoted the dissemination and practical exploration of ecological civilization and sustainable development, and the cooperation with international community in the ecological environment protection and climate change. It has become a top-level communication platform for international ecological industries. In 2021, EGF was held as a hybrid event that brought ca. 500 delegates including government officials in China and abroad, the industrial experts, and representatives from international organizations and enterprises together to discuss the trend of ecology, so as to cooperate with international community of ecological environment protection, addressing climate change and biodiversity protection. 

Yang Kun, the Executive President of China Electricity Council (CEC), was invited to attend the forum on behalf of CEC. During the EFG 2021, Yang Kun delivered a keynote speech entitled "Accelerating the construction of New Type Power System to achieve the nation’s carbon peak and carbon neutralities targets" at the sub-forum“Green and Clean Industry”.
