Wang Zhixuan Delivered Keynote Speech on APEC Expert Workshop

Wang Zhixuan, Secretary General of China Electricity Council, was invited to the APEC Expert Workshop on Innovative Systematic Approaches to Enhancing Coal-fired Power Generation Efficiency and delivered keynote speech on Clean and Efficient Development of Coal-fired Power in China. Initiated by the US Department of Energy and endorsed by the APEC Clean Fossil Energy Working Group, the workshop was hosted by China Energy Research Society with purpose of sharing experiences and technological innovations on Coal-fired Power Generation Efficiency and Clean Coal Development. Wang summarized the achievements of power industry on clean and efficient development of coal-fired generation, analyzed the key role of coal-fired generation in the new round of energy revolution and advised on future policies of developing coal-fired generation. Representatives from APEC member countries, energy and power utilities, energy research institutions and manufacturing sector presented the workshop.
