China’s first large-scale cascaded hydropower station integrated economic dispatch control (EDC) model, the Pubugou-Shenxigou-Zhentouba hydropower station EDC of Dadu River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. under China Energy Investment Corporation, introduced an integrated dispatch compensation service mechanism on March 15. Through expanding new scenarios and improving cascaded hydropower station intelligent dispatching, it helps optimize and enhance the hydropower stations’ profiting capacity.

Shenxigou Hydropower Station


The EDC model achieves optimal real-time distribution of loads and water volumes among Pubugou, Shenxigou and Zhentouba hydropower stations, thus improving the usage efficiency of water resources, enhancing economic operating capacity, and increasing electricity generation. It plays a vital role in increasing energy transforming efficiency and optimizing the economic operating indexes of hydropower stations while significantly reducing the real-time dispatching and coordinating pressures.
