China Energy Showcases Latest Technological Breakthroughs at China Scientific and Technological Innovation Expo

An expo showcasing China’s scientific and technological innovation achievements during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020) was held in Beijing from October 21 to 27. The outcomes of the “high-efficiency, flexible reheat power generation unit R&D and engineering demonstration” project launched by Suqian Power Plant under China Energy in Jiangsu Province were exhibited at the expo. As the only power plant of China Energy in the province attending the event, Suqian Power Plant demonstrated the fruitful achievements made by China Energy in promoting clean, efficient and low-carbon utilization of coal, as well as the Jiangsu branch’s effort to build a first-class model green, intelligent energy enterprise.

Relying on national key R&D plans and China Energy’s high-parameter, large-capacity secondary reheat power generation technology, Suqian Power Plant conducted research on efficient and flexible use of secondary reheat power generation units and invented such core technologies as joint valves that feature flue gas recirculation temperature adjustment and integrate main throttle valves, valve adjustors and steam supplements, gas and electricity-driven high-efficiency heat supply, intelligent power generation control system, and smart power generation public service system, filling in the void of the energy industry. The project also boasts China’s most advanced 660MW ultra-ultra-critical secondary reheat generation unit.
