Zou Lei attended the opening ceremony of BFA AC2021 and spoke on behalf of Chinese companies at the forum of Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs

On April 20, the opening ceremony of Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference2021 (BFA AC2021) was held in Boao, Hainan. President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech entitled “Pulling Together Through Adversity and Toward a Shared Future for All” via video link. Vice President Wang Qishan attended the opening ceremony, and conducted dialogues and exchanges with representatives of Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs. Zou Lei, Chairman of CDT, attended the opening ceremony and spoke on behalf of Chinese companies at the forum of Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs. Liu Guangying, Vice President of CDT, attended the opening ceremony and sub-forums.

Zou Lei said in his speech, building beautiful homeland is a common dream of mankind; climate change is a common concern of mankind. China’s energy development in the new era has ignited a new engine for the sustained and healthy development of Chinese economy. It will also provide opportunities for companies around the world to deepen cooperation and stimulate new drivers of economic growth in the post-pandemic era.

Entrepreneurs attending the forum said that they would seize the opportunity to deeply integrate into China's new development pattern and commit to jointly building the Belt and Road. Heads of renowned companies such as Samsung Electronics, AstraZeneca, and Golden Eagle Group made speeches. Heads of more than 40 well-known Chinese and foreign companies attended the forum.

Titled “A World in Change: Join Hands to Strengthen Global Governance and Advance Belt and Road Cooperation”, the conference features six main topics, including understanding China, grasping global changes and the development trend in Asia, cooperation between countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, and embracing industrial reforms, new technologies and shared development. This year, Boao Forum hosted more than 60 events, and attracted guests from over 60 countries and regions.
