The recognition indicated that the project will receive more attention, care and support in Indonesia in the future, which will be conducive to its long-term safe and stable operations.

It also demonstrated the advantages of POWERCHINA's extensive production and supply chain and its brand image.

The 200 megawatt Bengkulu power station is part of a massive program by Indonesia to construct a network of 35,000 MW of power plants, in line with the Indonesian Presidential Decree No 75/2014 to accelerate priority infrastructure projects.

Since its construction start on Oct 25, 2016, the project has been strongly supported by the Indonesian government.

The completion and commissioning of the Bengkulu plant project had greatly improved the power shortage situation on the island of Sumatra and in Bengkulu province.

It will optimize the investment environment, promote infrastructure construction and stimulate economic growth in the Bengkulu region, as well as improve employment and people's livelihoods there.
