On May 27th, the World Economic Forum International Energy Community released the《Global Innovations from the Energy Sector 2010-2020》. The case of Ultra-low Emission of Coal-fired Units submitted by China Huaneng was successfully selected into the White Paper, which is the only selected innovative technology showcased in this report about clean and efficient utilization of coal.
The World Economic Forum International Energy Community launched the White Paper project in the second half of last year to collect advanced green development cases from its members around the world. Experts from many countries have evaluated the submitted cases with reference to the relevant indicators determined by UNESCO, and finally selected representative cases of energy transition and innovation.
The White Paper shows the influential achievements of technological innovation and sustainable development in the world's energy industry during the last decade, involving sectors of energy efficiency, renewables integration, energy saving and emission reduction, etc. The 22 cases showcased in the White Paper include international giants, such as ABB, Siemens and Shell. The only two selected Chinese enterprises are China Huaneng and Sinochem.
