World's largest HD diversion steel bifurcation passes test
Changlongshan Pumped Storage Hydropower Station, owned by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), successfully conducted a 10 MPa hydrostatic test on its 1#diversion steel bifurcation on September 29 following 10 days of hard work by the construction teams, setting a new hydropower record in China.
The resounding success of the hydrostatic test, which laid the foundation for the first power unit of Changlongshan to generate electricity on schedule, is a groundbreaking achievement in China.
It will also help promote the technical advance in manufacturing high-strength pressure steel bifurcations for domestic hydropower stations.
