A robot inspects and transmits data through 5G network

Shenzhen - Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau has recently upgraded its main station and seven sub-stations have been provided with advanced IT intelligence programming as its 500 kV Pengcheng Inspection and Maintenance Center became CSG's first unmanned center.

Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau injected intelligent technologies into the Center to meet the challenge of an increasing workload of power transmission and - due to the coronavirus outbreak - a shortage of workers as the robot-human replacement rate is an amazing 100%. All facilities in the Center automatically gather, assess, transmit, share and utilize data, allowing for the real-time, all-angle inspection on the operation of the power transmission station.

Inspection and operational tasks that were done on site by humans are now completed online through a supporting IT platform. It is estimated that the new measure will cut the operation and inspection time needed for power transmission down by 51.2 hours and 120 hours respectively.
