EPC Project of Laos’ Northern 230KV Power Grid Has Been Put into Operation: A Nationwide, Unified 230 KV Network Expected to Take Shape

On September 27 when the Chinese celebrated Mid-Autumn Day, the EPC project of Laos’ Northern 230KV Power Grid also celebrated successful synchronization and operation of three substations of phase 1. All the parameters read stable.

The EPC project is a key project for CSG to implement the “Belt and Road” initiative and speed up the pace of going global. Invested by EDL and contracted by CSG Yunnan International, the project stretches over 4 provinces in northern Laos. The project includes the construction of 4 substations and 4 transmission lines with a total contract value of USD302 million. After completion, Laos’ northern power grid network will be upgraded from 115 KV level to 230 KV level. This nationwide, unified 230 KV network will provide strong support for the economic development of the whole country.
