Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau Builds CSG’s First Electricity-Checking Laboratory

Recently, the electricity-checking laboratory of Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau was completed and put into operation. As the first electricity-checking laboratory of CSG, it will help Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau study electricity-checking and anti-electricity theft technologies.

The laboratory has three functional rooms: Room for Anti-Electricity Theft Display, Room for Anti- Electricity Theft Test and Simulation, and Room for Electrical Devices Test. The main purpose of the laboratory is to display electricity-theft evidences, introduce new anti-electricity theft devices & technologies and relevant achievements, and conduct simulation demonstration of anti-electricity theft. It also enables connecting tests and preliminary examinations for power distribution equipment and transformer equipment.

In the future, the laboratory will be of vital significance for researches on anti-electricity theft technologies, training for electricity checking personnel, tests on the operation of new devices on customer side, and technical exchanges. Based on a large number of cases, it aims to develop new technical experiments on electricity-theft prevention, with a focus on new anti-electricity theft approaches and methods. The laboratory will also promote innovation and exchange activities for developing anti-electricity theft technologies, and undertake the mission of cultivating skilled electricity-checking workers and assess position competence for Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau.
