CSG Guarantees Power Supply for Long March-7 Carrier Rocket’s First Flight

Long March-7 carrier rocket is scheduled to be launched in late June this year at Wenchang Satellite Launch Center in Hainan Province, the first launch mission of this center. To ensure stable power supply, CSGhas implemented various measures prudently. Special power assurance mechanism will be activated timely according to the launch plan.

Main measures are as follows. First, CSG invested nearly RMB 300 million yuan in establishing or expanding three 220 kV and 110 kV substations, three 110 kV transmission lines, as well as three 10 kV transmission lines, among which the two 110 kV transmission lines funded and constructed together with the troop can provide dual-source or double-circuit power supply for Wenchang Satellite Launch Center. Second, CSG dispatched staff to Xichang Satellite Launch Center many times to gain experience of power supply assurance. Besides, CSG formulated plans and measures in advance for the special power supply assurance during the launch of Long March-7, and held targeted joint exercises. Third, CSG strengthened equipment maintenance and conducted strict risk control on equipment. Moreover, CSG compiled dedicated manuals for important substations, transmission lines and customers, carried out special inspection and condition assessment on the equipment to ensure all equipment be in good condition, and completed preliminary test and periodic inspection on all substations, with a periodic inspection rate of 100%. In addition, CSG launched three risk assessments to assist customers in examining and dealing with problems and potential risks.
