CSG’s Electricity Transmission to Macao Hits 30 TWh

from:China Southern Power Griddate:2015-08-11

Figures have it that up to this July, CSG’s electricity transmission to Macao hit 30.308 TWh, crossing the 30 TWh threshold. Ninety percent of Macao’s electricity was transmitted by CSG, which provided reliable power guarantee for the economic and social development of Macao.

In 2008, CSG and CEM signed the Framework Agreement on Electricity Cooperation 2010-2012. Since then, Macao’s new power demand was met by electricity transmission from the mainland. For a long period of time, CSG had taken solid steps to ensure safe and stable electricity supply to Macao by optimizing grid structure, carrying out special inspections and maintenance, conducting 24-hour online monitoring, and establishing a communication and coordination mechanism. Mr. Arnaldo Santos, Director of GDSE spoke highly of CSG. He commented that after signing of the Framework Agreement, Macao had never experienced any blackout due to malfunctioning of CSG, whose electricity transmission technology was truly world-class.
