A Thank You Letter from the Laos-China Friendship Association

Recently, Laos-China Friendship Association (LCFA) sent a letter of thanks to China Southern Power Grid for assisting in the construction of two China-Laos Friendship Schools in Vangleck and Hatnam villages, Pha Oudom District, Bokeo Province, Laos.

In the letter, the LCFA spoke highly of CSG's numerous contributions to education in the many remote areas of Laos, saying that China-Laos Friendship Schools contributed greatly to the development and poverty alleviation of remote Lao regions.

Dr. Khammany Inthirath, President of the LCFA, pointed out that the CSG-aided projects deepened the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Laos and China as a “community of shared future”.

He also wished the friendship and cooperation between Laos and China to be continuous, stable, and everlasting.

To build the China-Laos community of shared future, in early 2020, CSG senior managers decided to build two China-Laos Friendship Schools near the Nam Tha 1 Hydropower Station, Bokeo Province, Laos.

CSG International Co. Ltd acted immediately through investing into the new school and implemented its staff to press forward with construction.

In charge of construction management, the Nam Tha 1 Lao Power Company Ltd. overcame numerous challenges in constructing the schools during the pandemic and annual rainy season to complete the construction ahead of schedule.

Both Laotian and Chinese governments attached great importance to the project.

Dr. Khammany Inthirath, President of LCFA and Minister of Energy and Mines of Laos, was party to the signing of the project agreement and Dr. Bouakhong Nammavong, Governor of Bokeo Province, Laos, gave his valued on-site guidance.

Wang Luo, Deputy Consul General of China in Luang Prabang, was also witness to the acceptance of the project.
