Huaneng’s Ranking in Fortune 500 Rose to No.246

On July 9th, Fortune Magazine released the 2012 Fortune 500 ranking list, and China Huaneng Group ranked 246th, with sales revenue of 41.4806 billion US dollars. Huaneng’s ranking in Fortune 500 has been rising year by year, ranking 425th in the year 2009, ranking 313th in 2010, and 276th in 2011.

Though faced with unprecedented difficulty and complicated economic situation, China Huaneng Group was able to fully fulfill its targets in 2011, and continued to maintain a leadership position among Chinese power producers. By the end of 2011, Huaneng had total installed capacity of 125.38GW, up by 10.5% on a year-on-year basis, and generated electricity of 604600GWh in 2011, up by 12.5% on a year-on-year basis, and achieved consolidated sales revenue of 270.3 billion RMB, up by 18.5% on a year-on-year basis.
