Mr. CAO Peixi Attended Global Energy Interconnection Forum

On Sep. 26th, Mr. CAO Peixi, President of China Huaneng Group, attended Global Energy Interconnection Forum in Beijing, on which he addressed a speech, Generating Clean Energy and Promoting Energy Interconnection.

As a participant in developing clean and green energy, Huaneng proactively builds a safe, clean, high-efficient, and sustainable energy system by adapting to global energy interconnection trend and strengthening strategic planning study. Through taking opportunities brought by global energy interconnection, Huaneng actively develops green energy, acerbates development of power sources projects strategically, strengthen efforts in exploring overseas market and upgrading industry. Meanwhile, Huaneng will continue to support Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization as usual by actively participating the construction of global energy interconnection and making contribution to world energy transformation and the sustainable development of the mankind. Mr. CAO also delivered four points in the meeting: first, we shall accelerate the development of clean energy and improve the energy efficiency; second, we shall build power supply system to overseas markets to achieve regional energy sharing and win-win results; third, we shall build a consortium for global energy interconnection to invest in overseas market; fourth, we shall put more efforts in developing related technologies and standards, accelerate data sharing.

This forum, hold by GEIDCO and State Grid, is a one-year anniversary activity for the proposal of building global energy interconnection raised by President XI Jinpin. GEIDCO is formed in 2016, aiming to promoting the construction of global energy interconnection and serving human sustainable development by generating green and clean power.
