Huaneng Securing a Place in the “Top 20 Brands of Independent Innovation in the60-Year Existence of the Republic”

On December 20, 2009, a grand award presentation ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the People for the “List of 100 People of Chinese Economy and Top 100 Brands of China” and the 4th “Award of People’s Social Responsibility”, which was an economic pageant celebrating the 60th anniversary of the republic. China Huaneng Group secured a place in the “Top 20 Brands of Independent Innovation in the 60-Year Existence of the Republic”.     

The activity was sponsored jointly by the website of People’s Daily and China Newsweek in open online voting that involved the whole society. Present at the ceremony were Chen Changzhi, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of 11th National People’s Congress and Chairman of CNDCA, Cheng Siwei, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of 9th and 10th National People’s Congress, Zhang Huaixi, Deputy Chairman of 10th CPPCC, Wang Wenyuan, Deputy Chairman of 9th CPPCC, and other leaders, who presented awards to the winners.
