China Huaneng Received "Excellent Responsibility Enterprise Award"

On January 25th, the "China Corporate Social Responsibility Yearbook 2017" and the 2017 Responsible Jinniu Award Presentation Ceremony were held in Beijing hosted by the the Corporate Social Responsibility Research Center at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the China Social Responsibility 100-person Forum. China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. won the “Excellent Responsibility Enterprise Award” for its outstanding performance in fulfilling its social responsibilities, and at the same time, two cases, “Creating a ‘Responsible Huaneng’ Through Practicing the ‘Three-Color Culture’” and “Great Love of Huaneng Warming Society”, were selected into the “China Corporate Social Responsibility Yearbook (2017)”.

In recent years, Huaneng Group has responded positively to the call of the Party Central Committee and the State Council to strengthen social responsibility management, conscientiously perform social responsibilities, and strive to promote accurate poverty alleviation through promoting high-quality development as the fundamental requirement, deepening supply-side structural reform as the main line, improving quality and efficiency as the central task, and strengthening party building as the fundamental guarantee.

Since 2017, Huaneng Group has won the “Corporate Social Responsibility Report Leader Award” and “China Social Responsibility Poverty Alleviation Award”, joining the Top 300 Chinese Enterprises and ranking the third place among the Top 100 State-Owned Enterprises in 2017. The 2016 Sustainability Report (Social Responsibility Report) was evaluated as a five-star one, which is the only company in China that has received a five-star rating for the sixth consecutive year.
