China Energy Cited as a Model Enterprise in China’s Coal Industry in Social Responsibility Report Publication

China Energy was cited as a model enterprise in China’s coal industry in the publication of corporate social responsibility (CSR) reports at the 2020 coal enterprises’ CSR report release conference sponsored by China National Coal Association on August 18. At the event, 28 coal-related enterprises including China Energy, Shendong Coal, Zhungeer Energy Group, Shuozhou-Huanghua Raiway, China Coal Energy Group Co., Ltd. and China Coal Technology Engineering Group published their social responsibility reports.

At the event, the representative of China Energy delivered a speech entitled “Fulfilling Social Responsibility Is the Strategic Consciousness for Building a World-class Enterprise.” The speech recounted China Energy’s effort to fulfill its social responsibility last year, with focus on the areas of standardized operation, safe production, energy conservation and emission reduction, public wealth, targeted poverty alleviation, green development, promoting livelihood and employment, and participating in the construction of the Belt and Road. It fully showcased this coal enterprise’s remarkable achievements in fulfilling its social responsibility in the new era. Facing the unexpected outbreak of COVID-19 this year, in particular, China Energy has taken an active part in epidemic prevention and control while resuming production and guaranteeing supply, which demonstrates its employees’ dedication spirit and determination to follow the instructions, keep the big picture in mind, and bear heavy responsibilities.

Previously, the 2019 CSR Report of China Energy Investment Corporation was named as a five-star report by the China Corporate Social Responsibility Report Assessment Expert Committee, the highest level among all Chinese enterprises.
