Zhungeer Energy Pushes Forward Construction of Innovation Base for Intelligent Mining and Green Mining

On September 7, as darkness fell, the nine characters translated as “China Energy Ecological Forest” on Platform 1245 of the north waste dump of the Heidaigou open-pit coal mine was lit up, surrounded by a vast expanse of trees. This was part of the preparations made by Zhungeer Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy, for the experience sharing conference on intelligent mining and green mining in China. The Heidaigou coal mine was one of the sites the conference participants would visit, and it would demonstrate China Energy’s fruitful achievement in intelligent and green open-pit coal mining.

Over the years, following the guideline of “paying equal attention to ecological conservation and coal mining,” Zhungeer Energy strives to achieve sustainable exploration and utilization and economic recycling, radically improving the eco-environment of the coal mine and building “the most beautiful mine” in the northern border region of China through landform reshaping, soil and vegetation reconstruction, landscape restoration, and biodiversity reorganization and protection. The effort also aims to explore and develop diversified industrial modes including “eco-photovoltaic industry, eco-agriculture, eco-animal husbandry, eco-forestry, eco-orchard, eco-tourism, and eco-brownfield utilization,” so as to realize coordinated development of resources, ecological, economic and social benefits and provide a reproducible, spreadable and sustainable new model for high-quality and green development of the mining industry.
