China Energy Takes Part in Safety Management Standardization Construction

During the Commendation Conference for Demonstration Teams in Safety Management Standardization & “Forging a Competent Team Through Standardization” Book Launch held from February 22 to 23, more than 400 group heads and business representatives from different sectors across the country exchanged ideas and experiences. The event was sponsored by China Association of Work Safety (CAWS) and organized by Shenhua Zhungeer Energy Co., Ltd. under China Energy Investment Corporation.

Establishing safety management standardization demonstration teams is a key task of CAWS, aiming to increase team members’ safety awareness, enhance safety capability, standardize safety management and develop habits for safe operations. Some 200,000 teams across the country took part in the activity.

After rounds of reviews from preliminary assessment to spot demonstration, reexamination, final judgment by a panel of experts, and approval and publicity, 161 teams including the maintenance team of the engine workshop at the equipment maintenance center of Shenhua Zhungeer Energy Co., Ltd. received the honorable title of “demonstration teams” in safety management standardization. A total of 119 individuals including Liu Xueshi, head of the flight control software team at the 12th research institute of the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, were named “outstanding team chiefs,” and 25 organizations including China Huaneng Group won the title of “outstanding units.”

On the sidelines of the conference, a book launch was held for “Forging a Competent Team Through Standardization,” compiled by Shenhua Zhungeer Energy Co., Ltd. under China Energy Investment Corporation.
