On December 30, 2021, the phase II of Santai wind power station project of China Energy Xinjiang Branch was successfully connected to the grid for power generation, with normal parameters and stable operation of the wind turbines.

The project is located in Sayram Lake area, Bole City, Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with an average altitude of 2,300 meters. The total installed capacity is 49.5 megawatts, including 15 wind turbines each with a capacity of 3.3 megawatts and a height of 100 meters. After put into operation, the project is expected to annually generate 14.34 million kWh, be available for utilization of 2,896.2 hours, save energy consumption by 43,700 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 111,800 tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by 22.94 tons and nitrogen oxides emissions by 25.67 tons, delivering remarkable economic and environmental benefits.
