Jiangsu Branch’s First Centralized Photovoltaic Power Station Connected to the Grid for Power Generation

The Zhenguanshan Ash Field PV Power Station project of Jianbi Company under China Energy Jiangsu Branch was successfully connected to the grid for power generation on December 28, 2021. This is Jiangsu Branch’s largest PV power station and first ground-based centralized PV power station to achieve connection to grid at an affordable price.

With an installed capacity of 33.35 MW, the project covers an area of more than 30 hectares on a former ash field owned by Jianbi Company and consists of seven photovoltaic power arrays. After it is put into operation, the power plant can provide 34.4 million kWh of green electricity, save 10,000 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon emissions by 22,000 tons per year, thus effectively saving energy, reducing costs and increasing revenues. On the same day, Jianbi Company also kicked off the construction of the whole-county photovoltaic project in Jingkou District of Zhenjiang City and achieved grid connection of three projects including a PV power plant of an agricultural machinery manufacturer, marking a solid step forward by the company toward green transformation and development.
