Wudongde dam becomes sixth CTG reservoir in Yangtze River joint operation-1

Wudongde hydropower station, owned and operated by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), was officially included in this year’s joint operation of reservoirs along the Yangtze River basin on June 23, bringing the total number of CTG’s reservoirs in the joint operation system to six.

The aggregate regulated storage and flood control capacities of the six reservoirs, which also include Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba, Three Gorges, Shuibuya and Geheyan, are approximately 31.2 and 31.1 billion cubic meters respectively.

The six reservoirs combined account for 35 percent and 52 percent of the total regulated storage and flood control capacities respectively among the 41 jointly-operated reservoirs along the Yangtze River Basin.
