The first batch of medical supplies China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) donated to the Pakistani government arrived at its capital Islamabad on April 26. The supplies include more than 400,000 medical masks, more than 8,000 suits of medical protective gowns, thousands of face shields, medical hats and shoe covers.
About 70 percent of the supplies will be delivered to Pakistan authorities and hospitals to beef up their anti-epidemic capabilities. The rest will be distributed to the four communities where CTG’s projects are located.
Many projects built by CTG in Pakistan have been delivering power supply uninterrupted during the epidemic, aiding the local fight against the pandemic. A total of RMB 13,000 was raised by Chinese and Pakistani employees of CTG to aid Wuhan in Hubei province of China, when the city was severely hit by COVID-19 epidemic.
