     Super Typhoon Haima made landfall in the Houmen township, Shanwei city in Guangdong province, on Oct 21, with destructive winds of 42 meters per second.

Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant, Yangjiang Nuclear Power Plant and Taishan Nuclear Power Plant, three major plants affiliated to China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), which were in the typhoon’s path, reported no casualties or damages.

The emergency headquarters in Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant issued precautionary measures before the typhoon moved ashore, and kept the power station running in strict accordance with safe technical specifications.

Safety coordinators at Yangjiang Nuclear Power Plant carried out thorough safety checks on all machinery before the typhoon landed. Thanks to the strict safety and security controls, the six main machines remained in a stable condition and operated stably.

Taishan Nuclear Power Plant also took steps to ensure the safety of the facilities and working members.
