The Baihetan Hydropower Station, installed and debugged by Energy China’s China Gezhouba Group, has successfully hoisted the rotor of the No. 10 unit on November 16.
So far, the rotors of 14 units have been hoisted, with only two remaining.
With the world’s largest unit installed capacity, the 16GW station is expected to generate 62.443 billion kWh of electricity annually. Its first batch of units was put into operation in June 2021. Click on the video below to see how the 2,300-ton “fellow” is put in place.
