The Technical Code For Continuous Monitoring Of Flue Gas Carbon Dioxide Emission From Thermal Power Plants Issued And Implemented For the First Time

April 01, 2022 /CEC/ - On December 22, 2021, with the approval of the National Energy Administration, the “Technical Code For Continuous Monitoring Of Flue Gas Carbon Dioxide Emission From Thermal Power Plants (DL / t2376-2021) ” was publicly released and officially implemented on March 22, 2022. 

As the first industrial technical standard for continuous carbon dioxide emission monitoring, it filled the gap of continuous carbon emission monitoring technology in China's power generation field, further improved the technical system, and laid a core foundation for carbon peaking and carbon neutralization at the level of technical standards.

The continuous carbon emission monitoring technology of the power generation industry would be an important way of carbon emission measurement and an effective supplement to the accounting method. The release of the mentioned technical code for continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide emission from flue gas of thermal power plants would make up for the deficiency of the carbon emission accounting method to a certain extent, and could be used as a way of carbon emission measurement and verification in the power generation industry, which was conducive to promoting the intelligent and digital development of carbon dioxide emission management.
