China Energy Shandong Branch’s New Energy Intelligent Control Center Begins Trial Operation

On May 30, the intelligent control center of the Shandong branch of China Energy passed the acceptance check of State Grid and entered the stage of trial operation. This is the first of its kind passing the examination of State Grid in Shandong Province. It plays a vital role in pushing traditional new energy stations towards remote, centralized control.

With a total investment of 18.36 million yuan, the new energy intelligent control center is a key innovation project of the Shandong branch to implement China Energy’s “one centralized control center for a specific region” strategy, with an aim to achieve “professional operation, standardized management, and intensive control”. At present, the center connects to 290 wind turbines under Shandong New Energy Co., Ltd., with installed capacity totaling 587,000 KW. Before the end of June, all new energy stations of Longyuan Power, Guodian Power, and Guohua Investment in Shandong will be connected to the center. By then, 40 new energy stations and 1,984 wind turbines with installed capacity of more than 3.7 million KW will be connected with the center, thus injecting strong momentum into the green transformation and high-quality development of the Shandong branch of China Energy.
