Shuohuang Railway’s Suning Company Takes Home Highest Railway Honor

On July 8, the Suning Company of Shuohuang Railway under the umbrella of China Energy was awarded the 2021 “Locomotive Cup” by the All-China Federation of Railway Workers’ Unions, becoming the first joint venture railway in China to win the honor.

The “Locomotive Cup” is the highest honor in China’s railway system, which was established by the All-China Federation of Railway Workers’ Unions in the 1980s to recognize and reward organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the railway industry.

Upholding the safety concept that “risks are hidden dangers, which may result in accidents,” the Suning Company of Shuohuang Railway has carried out campaigns to enhance safety awareness of workers, coordinated epidemic containment and energy supply to ensure safe production, made efforts to foster a corporate safety culture, and established mechanisms for hidden trouble investigation and risk grading management, which contributed to safe production for 6,240 consecutive days. To fulfill its pledge to ensure power supply, the company has fully leveraged its location advantages featuring “one route and three ports,” accelerated construction of intelligent railways using 5G technology, attached importance to improving efficiency of key stations, and optimized train deployment to increase rail transport efficiency.

Meanwhile, the company has carried out activities such as book donation, educational aid, and voluntary transport service to fulfill corporate social responsibility with practical actions.
