China Energy Hebei Branch Generates 17.5B kWh of Electricity to Ensure Stable Power Supply

By June 30, the Hebei branch of China Energy had cumulatively generated more than 17.5 billion kWh of electricity this year, 0.66% more than the planned target, ensuring stable power supply for the region.

Adhering to the goal of serving as “a ballast for power supply and a pioneer in energy revolution,” the Hebei branch has strengthened workplace safety and enhance standardized requirements for production safety by clarifying 13 priorities for inspection. Following the principle of “strengthening inspections while making rectification and improvement”, the company has formulated a flood control plan and improved relevant contingency plans to ensure all personnel, measures, resources and precaution work are in place. By doing so, it has enabled generation units to maintain optimal operation, laying groundwork for stable power supply. To date, it has diffused 603 potential risks in a looped system.

In terms of engagement with the power market, the company has made all-out efforts to earn more power generation quotas and carried out various types of transactions such as centralized bidding, monthly real-time floor trading, electricity listing trade agency, power generation-side pre-listing trade, and power generation-side contracted electricity transfer. These measures enable its transacted electricity volume to exceed the ratio of its installed capacity. In addition, in the principle of maximizing the overall benefits, the company takes precision measures to coordinate operation and sales. Based on prediction on electricity consumption and the monthly transaction volume, it transfers the quotas of subsidiaries with lower marginal profitability to those with higher marginal profitability, increasing revenues by about 40 million yuan.
