from:China Energy Investment Corporationdate:2022-06-29

A new rooftop distributed photovoltaic project of the Inner Mongolia company of Longyuan Power, a subsidiary of China Energy, was registered on June 17. The project will cover the entire Haibowan District of Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia.

The project is one of China’s first county-wide distributed photovoltaic pilot projects, with a designed installed capacity of 108 MW. The self-generated electricity will be primarily consumed by the buildings involved, with surplus power connected to the grid. When completed, the project can produce 150 million kWh of green electricity each year, which, compared with coal-fired power plants, can save 47,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 121,000 tons a year, delivering considerable environmental, economic and social benefits.
