Zhunchi Line of Xinshuo Railway Has so far Transported Over 60 Million Tons of Coal This Year

As of November 11, the Zhunchi line of Xinshuo Railway Co., Ltd. under CHN Energy had transported more than 60.07 million tons of coal since the beginning of this year, a year-on-year increase of 9.9%, making great contributions to guaranteeing energy supply for the upcoming winter peak season.

Since the beginning of this November, Xinshuo Railway has continued optimizing the organization of transportation and train operation, accelerating the turnover rate of idle and heavy-duty trains to ensure continuous, stable and efficient operation of all freight trains. The number of idle and heavy-duty trains arriving at and departing from by the Shenchi Nankou station has maintained a high level, with a daily average of 106 trains. Given that the Zhunchi line features a huge temperature difference between daytime and night and frequently encounters bad weathers like thick fogs, strong winds, temperature drops, rains, and snows, the company releases precaution information for harsh weathers in a timely manner and conducts anti-sliding inspection on reserved vehicles to ensure that their brake shoes tightly connect to the tracks and their handbrakes are properly deployed, so as to prevent vehicle sliding accidents. Based on real-time temperature and coal moisture content, train loading stations spray anti-freezing liquid in a rational manner. Through active coordination and communication with the Wochang station, heavy-duty trains that have stopped over for a relatively long time will have priority to depart, so as to prevent them from freezing due to long-time parking. The signal division strengthens railroad switch monitoring and precaution data analysis to guarantee smooth operation of the switches. It has also conducted comprehensive electric experiments on the snow-melting devices of the switches in advance and cleaned railroad switch anti-cold passages. The engineering division strengthens equipment checking and repairing, implements on-spot standardized operations, and strictly puts into practice the three-pronged protective mode to guarantee personnel and equipment safety. So far, the Zhunchi line has maintained safe operation for 2,924 successive days, laying a solid foundation for smoothening transportation to guarantee energy supply.
