Since the beginning of 2022, based on the big picture of ensuring energy security and supply, Baoshen Railway Group has actively explored new multimodal transport methods and opened new channels for transporting coal of Inner Mongolia to the south, coal of Xinjiang to other parts of China, and coal of Inner Mongolia to Ningxia. It formulated specific transport plans in light with actual conditions, completing the annual target for transporting coal of Inner Mongolia to the south 36 days earlier than scheduled and achieving an annual transport volume of more than 2 million tons. This turned “disadvantages” in the development of the Ganqimaodu-Wanshuiquan Railway into “advantages”.

The company also adjusted its train operation diagram based on the demand-supply relations of the market. The 10,000-ton trains operating along the Shenmu-Shuozhou Railway increased from 93 to 97 pairs, achieving precise, efficient transportation. It also reinforced coordinated operation of multiple departments and sectors to realize seamless connection of various links in transport organization, achieving perfect integration between efficiency and benefits.

According to seasonal needs, the company takes concrete action to respond to spring thaw, flood, chilly winter, among others. It conducts a comprehensive safety inspection on railways each month, carries out regular railway equipment maintenance, and takes effective measures to reduce the impact of extreme weathers such as gales, rainstorms, and snowstorms on transport, creating a safe, stable environment for the company to accomplish its annual transport tasks.
