China Datang Seals Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group

China Datang Corporation Ltd. (China Datang) held a ceremony for signing a strategic cooperation agreement with Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. (Shaanxi Coal and Chemical) in the presence of Zou Lei, Chairman of China Datang, and Yang Zhaoqian, Chairman of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical, in Beijing on July 25th. Peng Yong, vice president of China Datang, and Zhao Futang, vice president of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical, signed the agreement.

At the signing ceremony, Zou thanked Shaanxi Coal and Chemical for long-standing support, and shared China Datang’s achievements in stabilizing growth and boosting investment and business development. China Datang has made active efforts to advance the transformation and upgrading of the energy sector by promoting the clean and efficient use of coal, and the construction of electric power projects.

China Datang and Shaanxi Coal and Chemical boast prominent advantages that benefit industrial development and complementary business, which bring about broad space for cooperation.The two sides will take the agreement signing as an opportunity to fully tap into their strengths, further enhance cooperation in the industrial and supply chains of the energy sector, and intensify efforts to cooperate in such fields as coal, new energy, clean and efficient coal power, green hydrogen  production and capital operation, so as to forge a strategic cooperative partnership featuring equality, mutual benefit, and common development, jointly advance the green and low-carbon development , and achieve win-win results, Zou said.

Yang expressed heartfelt gratitude to China Datang for its long-term support, and introduced the group’s development in the energy sector. Shaanxi Coal and Chemical, a company in the energy and chemical industry administered by the provincial government of Shaanxi Province, is innately complementary to China Datang in business development, and has entered into a sound strategic cooperative relationship with China Datang during long-term cooperation, Yang said.

Looking ahead, the two sides will further strengthen communication, deepen strategic mutual trust, and give full play to their initiative in actively expanding cooperation, jointly promote industrial cooperation in coal, new energy, clean and efficient coal power, coal chemical industry, and work together to usher in a new chapter of pragmatic cooperation between China’s centrally administered SOE and SOE administered by provincial government.
